This workshop is for you if you want to increase self-care and extend your ability to be resourceful and effective in moments of disruption and stress. We are going to explore ways to support you to live a richer, more meaningful life.
Why looking after yourself is important
Some people feel putting others first is the mark of a selfless leader. Yet, if you do not look after yourself you can unwittingly be asking other people to look after you and see to your work priorities. When you consistently put your needs after others, you have fallen into a victim mindset.
Your body is your vehicle for all you want to do. When you neglect your self as instrument, you can manifest unwanted states and behaviours such as burnout, apathy, lethargy, negative moods, and a dependence on others.
You can prioritise your self and manifest vitality, health, focus, agency, groundedness, dependability, and be more likely to get promoted. Which type of leader would you want to work with? Which type of leader do you want to be?

Workshop content:
In this workshop we will explore the inner dialogue and how it impacts our interpretations, behaviours, and the ability to build healthy habits.
We all have moments when we are living in integrity with our values. We also have moments where we fall short. Often when we feel stressed, we lose touch with what is really important for us in the moment. How can we get clearer on what is arising and what we can do to have better outcomes?
An aspect of Self Leadership is claiming time to nurture ourselves, our physical bodies, our creativity, our minds and our hearts. We will explore what you could do to nurture yourself and what small steps you need to build a self-nurturing habit.
If you want to take your learning one step further, we recommend deepening your development with an optional one or two 45-minute one-on-one coaching sessions.
Learning outcomes:
- Awareness of your inner dialogue and its impact on your work and relationships
- Better understanding of your intentions in moments of stress
- Clarity on what activities you could start or do more of to nurture your self
- Understanding how to make space for one of these activities in your schedule

What is included:
- Pre-workshop assignment with a self-assessment and reflection questions
- Post-workshop assignment to anchor insights
- Live workshop via Zoom
- Recording of workshop available for 6 months
Time commitment is 2.5 hours + optional 1.5 hours:
- 30-minute pre-workshop preparation
- 2-hour live workshop
- Optional two 45-minute coaching sessions at a discounted rate
By participating in an online workshop you are consenting to a password-protected recording of the plenary parts of the workshop being made available to participants. Peer coaching and group discussions will not be part of the recording. Only share what you are comfortable sharing. If you do not want to be identified, please turn your video sharing off and only share you first name or a nickname.
